The Direct Vision Standard Phase 2 came into effect on the 28th of October and requires vehicles (HGVs) weighing over 12 tonnes to have a minimum of a 3-star rating in order to operate in and around the Greater London Area. TFL (Transport for London) are looking to improve the safety, particularly of pedestrians and cyclists by removing the blind spots of HGV’s for a safer London.
